Automatic temperature control heating cable


自控温伴热电缆(简称自控热线、自限温电热带)是新一代带状恒温电热器。电阻率具有很高的正温度系数且相互并联。其特点是:能够自动限制加热时的温度,并随被加热体系的温度自动调节输出功率而无任何附加设备;可以任意裁短或在一定长度范围内接长使用,并允许多次交叉重叠而无高温过热点及烧毁之虑。这些特点使热线具有:防止过热、使用维护简便及节约电能等优点。适合于管道、设备及容器控温、伴热、保温、加热、特别是其中的物料容易分解、变质、析晶、凝聚、冻结时。在石油、化工、电力冶金、轻工、食品、冷冻、建筑、煤气、农副产品生产、发加工及其它部门具有广泛的用途。

Automatic temperature control heating cable is a new belt-type constant heater. The heating element has higher “PTC”(Positive Temperature Coefficient) in resistance. The unique features is that it can limit the temperature when heating, and automatically adjust the watt output without additional equipment. It can be cut in any length or connected together for long length even overlapped without over-heating and burning. This cable is easy in maintenance and save the energy. It is applicable in pipe, equipment and container temperature control and heating, especially the agent are easy discomposed, deteriorate, condense and freezing. The cable is widely used in petrol-chemical, metallurgy, light industry, foodstuff, cold-freezing, building, gas, agricultural production fields.


1PTC材料

1PTC material


导电聚合物在发热用途上由其具有的正温度系数(简称PTC),这一非普遍的现象所决定。其主要特性是在细小的温度范围内,电的阻抗会有相当大的转变。

PTC材料属于导电高分子复合材料。将导电粒子如CB分散到高聚物产品中即可制成上述电聚合物。这一特点来于聚合物受热膨胀的系数不同,聚合物在升温或熔解时体积会膨胀,特别在温度升至熔点的始点时,部分结晶体开始熔解引致体积明显增大。这些改变导致了凝结的CB之间进一步的分开。换言之,便切断了部分导电通道;因而阻碍了电子在CB聚合物组织中的流通,使其阻抗率增大。由此可见,热线的功率主要受控于传热过程,与被加热体系的温度有关;当被加热体系温度接近于芯带的温度时,传热几乎停止,功率趋近于零,实际上停止了加热,反之亦然。

本所产品之一的电阻(功率)——温度曲线(见图一)

Conducting polymer has the positive temperature coefficient when heating. The impedance of this material will change greatly within small temperature range.

PTC is a kind of conducting polymer material which is formed by scattering the particles CB to the polymer compound. When the polymer compound is heated, the expansion coefficient is different. Polymer will expanse when in melting or high temperature. Some molecule begins melting and its occupation is bigger which leads the longer distance among the CB particles. The electron flow is partially cut off so the impedance is bigger.

Resistance(watt)-temperature(see fig. 1) of one kind cable.


2Working principle


自控热线的工作原理将PTC材料均匀地挤塑在二根或多根平行金属线芯之间即可得到芯带。因PTC材料是导体的,所以在芯带外面还需要包覆一层绝缘材料做为护套,便得到实用的基本型热线(见结构图)。

热线的金属线芯接通电源后,电流由一根线芯经过跨接于二线之间的发热体(PTC材料),到另一线芯而形成回路,电能使发热体升温,其电阻随即增加,当芯带温度升到某值之后,电阻已大到几乎阻断电流的程度,发热体的温度便不再升高。与此同时,芯带能过护套向温度较低的被加热体系传热,单位时间传递的执度等于电功率。另一方面传统的恒功率加热器不受被加热体系温度的影响,始终提供差不多恒定的功率,一直到被加热体系散热速率等于电功率时才停止升温。

因此,控(限)温加热的方式是让热线适应被加热体系,而恒功率加热方式是被加热体系去适应去适合加热器,这是二者根本的区别。

这种热线的实际优点是:

1)热线绝不会给自身发出的热量烧毁,即使体系隔热十分良好。

2)热线相应被伴热体系具有自动调节功率的功能,所以在很多应用上,其本身即为很好的恒温加热器。

3)特殊的结构已使热线使用长度达1000米,故适应长输远距离控制及复杂特殊条件的应用。(如石油热采工艺配套)。

Working principle, extrude the PTC material evenly on the two or multi paralleled metal cores to make the core belt. Since PTC material is conductive, so the insulation material is applied outside the core belt.(see structure fig.)

When the power is applied to the cable, the current flows from one core through the PTC to another core. The electric energy heats up the PTC and its resistance increases following the temperature until it is big enough to cut off the current, and the temperature will not go up. In the meantime, the heat is transmitted from the core through the sheath to be object. The heat transmitted is equal to electric power. In this reference, the power of the heating cable is controlled by the transmission process, and related to the temperature of the object. When the object temperature is close to core belt temperature, there is no heat transmission and heating is stopped. On the other hand, the conventional heater provides the constant watt regardless of the temperature of the object, until the heat dissipation is equal to the electric power.

So the main difference of the limit temperature control heating and the constant watt heating is that in the former case, the cable meets the object temperature and in the latter case, the object temperature meets the heating cable.

The advantage of this cable:

(1) The cable will not burn by itself heat, good in heat isolation.

(2) The cable can regulate the output watt automatically as a good constant temperature heater.

(3)The max. usable length is up to 1000m due to its special structure. It is suitable for long-distance under complicated conditions.


3自控热线参数

热线具有低压电缆所要求的基本特性。如:绝缘性,物理机械性,抗老化性等。此外,作为并联式控(限)温加热器,还有它的参数。热线的品种不同,参数也不同。

1)功率——温度特性

该特性是模拟管道伴热保温条件下测定的。由功率—温度特性图(见图一)可见,随机系温度的增加,功率大致呈线性下降,其斜率为体系温度每改变一度时热线功率的减少量,它反映了功率随温度自动调节的能力。应当指出,热线的功率是稳定态参数,影响的因素较多,不能简单地用电阻乘以电压加以计算。

(1)watt-temperature feature

The vamp of the line is watt decrease per temperature degree, and it reflects the watt regulates with the temperature. The watt of the cable is a stable data, influenced by many factors ,not simple as resistor times voltage.




2)维持温度

用热线伴热某一体系,若单位时间内热线向体系传递的热量等于体系向环境传递的热量,体系的温度便得以维持不变。显然用功率较大的热线或体系隔热较好时,维持温度较高。能使体系得以维持的温度称为“维持温度”。在使用中,如果设计得当,可以使体系维持温度到环境温度之间的任何温度。

3)承受温度

热线能承受低于一定温度的外部热源的影响,高于此温度后,功率会缓慢下降而且是积累性的。因此,使用中不要超过热线的承受温度。本参数是选择热线的主要参数之一。

4)表面温度

在隔热良好的密闭容器内放入足够长度的热线,在额定电压下达到温度为热线的表面温度。这一参数对有易燃物料或有的场合是重要的、

热线可以任意剪短使用,但只能在一定长度范围内任意接长;换言之,不得超过使用长度。使用长度与定额电压、功率规格及使用时环境温度有关。如果要求使用的长度超过热线的使用长度 、应当另接电源或使用特殊规格的特长型热线。

 (2)Max. holding temperature

When using the heating cable, if the heat transmitted to the object is equal to heat transmitted from the object to environment, the temperature of the object is kept constant. It is obviously good to use bigger heating cable or with good heat isolation, the temperature of the object is kept higher. This temperature is calledmax. holding temperature If design is fine, the temperature of the object is kept between the holding temperature and the ambient temperature.

(3) Max. endurance temperature

The heating cable can withstand the influence from the outside heat source. The output watt reduces down in accumulative mode. So do not exceed the max. endurance temperature of the cable. This the main data for ion of the cale

(4) Max. surface temperature

Put the enough length of the cable in the sealed container. The max. temperature is called max. surface temperature under the rated voltage. This data is essential in the case of flammable material of gas places.

(5) Max. usable length

The cable can be cut in any length and connected together to a certain length, that is, not exceeding the max. usable length. Max. usable length is related to rated voltage, watt and min. ambient temperature. If it necessary to exceed the max. usable length, additional power supply is applied or special long cable is used.

自控热线按GB3836.1-83GB3836.3-83即爆炸性环境防爆电器设备“通用要求”和“隔爆型电器设备”要求设计制造、防爆等级为“d II BT3, 阻燃类产品具有阻燃性,并通过密闭式电热器要求的试验与相应的防爆电器附件配套后,适用于不受外力直接冲击的海洋石油平台和工厂一区、二区爆性气体混合物T3组场所使用。

This constant watt heating cable is made as per GB3836.1-83 and GB3836.3-83, i.e, general requirement for the anti-explosive equipment and safe electric apparatus grade E. The anti-explosive grade is “e II T3”.Due to its non-extensive burning, the cable is used on the anti-explosive parts which are applicable in the area 1 and area 2 in factory under explosive gas mixture T3.
