The new Universal AC Main Module and PIM functionally replace the Legacy 3500/15 AC Main Module and both the High and Low Voltage AC PIMs. However, due to technical regulations and standards compliance, the new Universal AC Main Module must be paired only with the new Universal AC PIMs. Neither component can be mixed with legacy AC Main Modules or PIMs. A mixed system in which a new Universal AC Main Module or PIM is paired with a legacy AC Main Module or PIM will not present a safety issue although the system may fail to function properly and does not comply with general electrical safety certification. A mixed legacy/new Main Module-PIM set is unacceptable.
