背景介绍：Expression of the c-myc gene, which produces an oncogenic transcription factor, is tightly regulated in normal cells but is frequently deregulated in human cancers. The protein encoded by this gene is a transcriptional repressor thought to negatively regulate MYC function, and is therefore a potential tumor suppressor. This protein inhibits the transcriptional activity of MYC by competing for MAX, another basic helix-loop-helix protein that binds to MYC and is required for its function. Defects in this gene are frequently found in patients with prostate tumors. Three alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms have been described. Additional alternatively spliced transcripts may exist but the products of these transcripts have not been verified experimentally.

免疫酶染色应注意控制：

1. 呈色质浓度和反应时间。增加成色质的量和（或）增加底物反应时间，可增加反应产物强度；着色太深可减少反应时间。

2. 过氧化物酶显色时，H2O2浓度较大将使显色反应过快而至背景加深；过量H2O2可能抑制酶的活性。
